Facilities

Nestled amidst an oil palm plantation, the 35 acre Johor Clay Target Shooting Range is one of the prominent ranges in Malaysia. The range is located in the district of Kota Tinggi, is a mere 1 hour drive from the heart of Johor Bahru City centre and Singapore. The shooting range which was officiated in 1997 by His Majesty The Sultan of Johor houses an array of shooting sports facilities catering to the need of the various fraternities. There are 3 shotgun ranges equipped with the latest Laporte Clay machines for Olympic Trap, Double Trap and Skeet (similar to the ones used at the recent Beijing Olympics).

The JCTSA club house consists of administration office, meeting rooms, prayer room and pantry

Will there be trainer onsite to guide us? I am looking at 2 pax going there to try pistol shooting on 25th March. Is it easy to reach there from Singapore? :)

    • March 3, 2013 at 11:13 AM | #25

Our range assistants should be able to provide basic safety and handling training.
But 9mm pistol and shotgun requires gun license. As a day member / visitor you will have the option of shooting air weapon and the other small arms only.

To become a member you can either download the form from this website or collect it from our shooting range.
Once you are a member, you can join our shooting clinic which is held on the first Sunday of every month.
The shooting range is opened from Wednesday to Monday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. It closes on Tuesdays and Mondays are half days.
The permit to use shotgun and pistol will be applied for you once you are a member of the club.
