ISKANDAR SHOOT 2011 – THANK YOU ALL SHOOTERS & THANK GOD FOR THE WEATHER!
The Iskandar Shoot 2011 closed its curtain on 24 April and what a wonderful time we had over the 2 weekends. Speed, accuracy and power reigned the shooting range – and this was just the Committee members alone!
The Iskandar Shoot 2011 saw 73 clay target and 156 practical shooters taking part. Singapore Gun Club took home the Challenge Trophy after losing it for the last 3 years to SAFRA and Johor Clay Target. After holding on to the Trophy for 2 years in a row, it was sad to see it went… across the causeway… Our club is really in dire need for secondliners! Especially for Skeet event! Hellooooo! Any skeet shooters out there?
The NAVY and Police teams were at their best in the IPSC ground. Wining top places in many Divisions and in Men Vs Men. It wasn’t much of a surprise. Well they’re supposed to be good aren’t they? All we can say is that the Country is in good hands.
But the Ladies from REM estate (WOW) won the Air Weapon Competition? Now that’s a surprise! They were the underdog last year but this year they came in with more than just a bark! Calling themselves WOW REM (Women On Wards) they really wowed everyone when they beat the BAKAT (Army wives) and PERKEP (Police wives) to win top placing in the Air Weapon category.
After 14 years of successfully holding the event, it is only right that we thank all the shooters who had participated and supported us!
Thank you also to all committee members, stage helpers and government departments of Johor and Kota Tinggi for all your selfless contributions in making the match a success!
Special shout out to Uncle Benson,Ranjit and gang of NSAM, Pak Robby (IPSC Range Master) and Pak Iwan Sumarta (Stats Director) – A big THANK YOU to all of you!!!
But the biggest thank goes out to God – for the smooth running of the event and thank God, for the beautiful weather!
