Nestled amidst an oil palm plantation, the 35 acre Johor Clay Target Shooting Range is one of the prominent ranges in Malaysia. The range is located in the district of Kota Tinggi, is a mere 1 hour drive from the heart of Johor Bahru City centre and Singapore. The shooting range which was officiated in 1997 by His Majesty The Sultan of Johor houses an array of shooting sports facilities catering to the need of the various fraternities. There are 3 shotgun ranges equipped with the latest Laporte Clay machines for Olympic Trap, Double Trap and Skeet (similar to the ones used at the recent Beijing Olympics).

The JCTSA club house consists of administration office, meeting rooms, prayer room and pantry

Will there be trainer onsite to guide us? I am looking at 2 pax going there to try pistol shooting on 25th March. Is it easy to reach there from Singapore? 🙂

    • March 3, 2013 at 11:13 AM

Our range assistants should be able to provide basic safety and handling training.
But 9mm pistol and shotgun requires gun license. As a day member / visitor you will have the option of shooting air weapon and the other small arms only.

    Dear Sir,

Few of us are interested to try out day membership at your range with the 9mm pistol.

We noticed that there are some equipments rental fees will be imposed such as gun rental, ammo and target papers purchased, as well as an instructor fee at RM100.

    1. I’m a trained user, is it possible to do away with an instructor?

    2. Can you enlighten us roughly how much per person need to pay for 1 day 9mm pistol shoot, with 50rds ammo each?

    Thank you

    • June 26, 2013 at 10:58 AM

The instructor fee is usually applies to large group / association when they request for a special training session. For a small group we will assign a Range Assistant to accompany the group.

We are tourists from germany and we would love to book a session at your range!

    • October 20, 2013 at 2:35 PM

There is no need for you to make reservation. However it is advisable that you inform us in advance and let us know what kind of session you plan to have so that we can arrange for a proper instructor to be available to provide you with tour and demonstration at the range.
